OREANDA-NEWS.  August 13, 2014. According to the Federal Customs Service of RF, in the reporting period Moldova’s exports to Russia declined 1.9% from USD161.6 million to USD 158.6 million, Russian imports to Moldova increasing 19.8% from USD 606.7 million to USD 726.7 million.

The negative trade Moldova of Moldova with the RF made up USD 568.1 million, up 27.6% against the same period of 2013. Moldova’s share in Russia’s total sales volume stayed unchanged at 0.2%.

As InfoMarket reported earlier, bilateral trade between Moldova, Transdniestria included, and RF made up USD 1 billion 738.4 million in 2013, down 16.7% year-on-year. Moldova’s exports to RF decreased 12.5% to USD 417.5 million, Russia’s exports to Moldova declining 17.9% to USD 1 billion 320.9 million. In 2013 the unfavourable trade balance of Moldova with Russia made up USD 903.4 million, down 20.2% year-on-year. Russia chiefly exports to Moldova mineral row materials, foods, chemicals, machines, equipment and transport means, the RF Federal Customs Service says.

Moldova exports to Russia foodstuffs and agricultural feedstock, metals and metal work, machines, equipment and vehicles, textile and knitted wear. The structure of goods turned over between RF and the right- and the left -bank- parts of Moldova differs essentially. In bilateral trade with Transdniestria, industrial goods are dominant, whereas in the trade with Moldova agricultural products prevail.
