This was stated by the Prime Minister Iurie Leanca, having discussed this issue with the farmers and producers of canned food of the Northern region of the country, the government proposed measures to address the problems they faced after the introduction of Russia trade restrictions on the Moldovan products.

 The same topics were touched upon at his meeting on Thursday night in Balti with a group of farmers who blocked the road of agricultural machinery in the protest against ban entered by the Russian Federation on the import of Moldovan fruits.

Among the measures to support farmers and canned food producers the head of the government called partial compensation of the losses, support in terms of debt restructuring of farmers to banks, reducing the pressure on farmers and processors from the suppliers of gas and electricity, the identification of new markets, etc. Iurie Leanca said that part of the money offered as compensation, will be allocated to foreign partners, the other part - from the state budget.

With the commercial banks necessity for the restructuring of credit to companies that produce, processed and canned apples and plums was already discussed. "Since September, kindergartens, schools and military units will receive apples," said the Prime Minister, stressing so that these compensations will be paid promptly. Iurie Leanca urged farmers to return to the fields and harvesting, as enterprises are ready to process agricultural products.
