OREANDA-NEWS. August 21, 2014. Such information is cited by the State statistics service of Ukraine, noting that in January-June deliveries of Ukrainian products to Moldova decreased by 12.3%-up to USD 362 million.

Turnover between Moldova and Ukraine in January-June 2014 made up USD 388,5 million, and the negative trade balance of Moldova with the Ukraine in the first 6 months of this year amounted to USD 335,5 million. It should be noted, that data of the Ukrainian side are fundamentally different from the Moldovan statistics.

So, according to the National Bureau of statistics, Moldova's exports to Ukraine in the first half of 2014 amounted to USD 54.5 million, decreasing compared to the same period of the last year by 17.8%, the import of the Ukrainian goods decreased by 15.6%- up to USD 258 million. According to these data, the trade turnover between Moldova and Ukraine in January-June amounted to USD 312,5 million, and a negative trade balance of Moldova amounted to USD 203,5 million, respectively.

Moldova supplies to Ukraine, mainly wine, sunflower seeds, ethanol, soybeans, tobacco, importing from the neighboring countries mainly oil, electricity, steel, coal, flour, cigarettes. Ukraine occupies the 3rd place in terms of export to Moldova and the volume of trade among countries that are engaged in the foreign trade with Moldova.
