OREANDA-NEWS. August 25, 2014. Tele2, an alternative mobile operator, reports that Maksim Mitkin has been appointed as chief commercial officer of the South macroregion.

In his new position Maksim Mitkin will be in charge of planning and managing commercial operations in the South macroregion. He will be responsible for managing commercial departments in Rostov Region, Krasnodar Territory, Republic of Adygeya and regions integrated as a part of consolidation with Rostelecom mobile assets: Republic of Kalmykia, Astrakhan Region, Stavropol Territory, Republic of Ingushetia, Republic of Dagestan, Republic of Karachay-Cherkessia, Republic of Kabardino-Balkaria, Republic of North Ossetia, Chechen Republic.

Maksim will supervise development and implementation of marketing strategy, a launch of new products, quality of customer service and development of distribution network in the region.

Maksim Mitkin graduated from the Bryansk State Technical University holding degrees in Transport Machine Building, Economics and Management. He also holds a degree in MBA. Maksim has a wide experience in telecommunications. He joined the Tele2 team in October 2009 having taken the post of Tele2 Kaliningrad chief commercial officer. Prior to this he held top management positions in OJSC Liding and CJSC Mobikom Centre (operator of Megafon in Kaluga Region).

The commercial function headed by Maksim largely contributed to development of the company’s business in the region: Tele2 Kaliningrad has reached the EBITDA breakeven point over 7 months after the launch, which exhibits growth at outpacing rates.
