OREANDA-NEWS. August 25, 2014. Anti-crisis energy centres were opened at the three energy supplying companies of DTEK: DTEK Dniprooblenergo, DTEK Donetskoblenergo and DTEK Power Grid. The centres are operating on a twenty-four hour basis.

Their task is to promptly remedy any emergencies in electric networks of Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk regions and ensure stable electricity supply to households and industrial consumers.

The centres were established in conformance with the requirements of the National Energy Regulatory Commission (NERC). The main tasks of the centres are as follows:

to supply electricity to consumers;

to give prompt and thorough comments on all pressing issues;

to protect the rights of electricity consumers, to provide assistance and consultations to clients.

Employees of DTEK Donetskoblenergo and DTEK Power Grid are carrying out repair works in Donbas on a daily basis. Since May 17, DTEK brought light back to over 500,000 homes in 70 communities of Donetsk region.

Over 600 power workers of DTEK Donetskoblenergo, DTEK Power Grid, DTEK Energougol ENE have been involved in the repair works since May 17. Since July, the team of DTEK Donetskoblenergo has been repairing the electricity networks destroyed during the war.

On 19 August, DTEK’s power workers have made a tremendous work on restoring power supply. They brought light back to 300,000 homes in Yenakiieve, Zuhrez, Khartsyzsk, Horlivka, Makiivka, Krasnohorovka and ensured electricity supply to the main regional industrial enterprises and facilities: filtration plants in Donetsk and Makiivka, Yenakiieve Coke and Chemical Plant, six mines in Donetsk region, including Komsomolets Donbasa Mine, one of the largest in Ukraine. Electricity supply to certain communities had to be restored several times during the last three months.

For reference, in July DTEK established its Anti-crisis Centre based in Zaporizhzhia. Its main task is to ensure stable operation of energy and coal enterprises of DTEK located close to or directly in the area of military operations in Luhansk and Donetsk regions.
