OREANDA-NEWS. August 25, 2014. President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to Turkmenistan Mr Djanysh Rustenbekov, who awarded the letters of credentials to the Turkmen leader.

During the meeting, the President of Turkmenistan and newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to Turkmenistan focused on favourable opportunities for enhancing the efficient bilateral relations in the trade and economic sphere as well as humanitarian and cultural area, and underlined the importance of brining the mutually beneficial Turkmen-Kyrgyz cooperation to the qualitatively new level that meets modern requirements. It was also noted that efficient implementation of the existing potential satisfied the national interests of the two states as well as the wellbeing of the whole region.

In this regard, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov suggested establishing a joint intergovernmental commission as an efficient mechanism for developing productive partnership and elaborating its significant forms. The transport and communication sphere was specified among a prospect areas of cooperation.
