OREANDA-NEWS. August 27, 2014. Out of the total volume, the construction of new facilities was 60.5% and amounted to MDL 1.36 billion, down 5.1% against the same period of the last year, the National Bureau of Statistics informs.

Current repairs and maintenance of buildings and constructions was 18.7% or MDL 419.2 million, down 8.8%; overhaul works were 15.8% or MDL 354.8 million, up 23.3%. The growth was reported for construction of engineering facilities, which increased 22% to MDL 1.1 billion. Construction of residential facilities decreased 27.6% to MDL 593.8 million, construction of non-residential facilities declining 4.2% to MDL 431.2 million.

In the reporting period, the biggest volumes of the assembly and construction works were fulfilled by private enterprises. They amounted to 72.1% of the total volume of to MDL 1.62 billion, down 12.4% against January-June, 2013.
