OREANDA-NEWS. On August 28, 2014 at 11:00 am at the Office of JSC TGC-1 the winners of the Tenth Annual Competition of graduation projects among the students of power engineering specialties of higher education institutions of the Northwest will be awarded. During the ceremony, students will present the best projects.

This year, for judgment by the expert committee, which includes the specialists of JSC TGC-1, JSC St. Petersburg Heating Grid and independent organizations, 48 works were submitted - a record number of graduation projects over the past three years.

Students of the leading universities of power engineering took part in the competition - St. Petersburg State Polytechnical University, St. Petersburg State Technological University of Plant Polymers, National Mineral Resources University ''Gorniy'', Petrozavodsk State University and Ivanovo State Power University.

Graduate work was excepted in seven categories:

Non-conventional renewable energy sources

Heat and power plants

Economics and Management of a power plant

Automation and information technologies in the energy industry

Reducing the harmful impact on the environment and ecology in the energy industry

Electricity sale activities and wholesale electricity market

Electrical systems and grids

Three more works will be awarded with diplomas "For an innovative approach and quality study of the mathematical model", "For connecting theory with practice", "For freshness, originality and prospectivity of the development".
