OREANDA-NEWS. Belarus' broad money supply grew 4.5% month on month in July 2014 to 219.401 trillion Belarusian rubles (USD 20.687 billion) as of August 1, 2014, Belarus' monetary authorities said in a report.

Of the total money supply, cash in circulation (M0 aggregate) grew 0.58% in June 2014 to 13.641 trillion rubles (USD 1.315 billion). The share of M0 in broad money supply reduced to 6.22% as of August 1, 2014 from 6.36% as of January 1, 2014.

M1 aggregate, which includes cash and current Belarusian ruble deposits with banks, reduced by 2.2% in July 2014 to 39.360 trillion rubles (USD 3.796bn). M1 aggregate accounted for 17.9% of the total money supply as of August 1, 2014, down from 19.19% as of January 1, 2014.

Ruble money supply (M2* aggregate), which includes M1 and fixed-period ruble securities outside bank circulation, was up 1.3% in August 2014 to 89.767 trillion rubles (USD 8.656bn). Ruble money supply accounted for 40.9% of the broad money supply as of August 1, 2014, down from 41.69% as of January 1, 2014.

In 2013, broad money supply rose 19.8% to 193.307 trillion Belarusian rubles (USD 19bn). Ruble money supply increased 15.5% in 2013 to Br79.331 trillion (USD 7.816bn).
