OREANDA-NEWS. Renaissance Capital, a leading emerging- and frontier-markets investment bank, has further strengthened its Middle East and North Africa (MENA)-focused equity research team, with the appointment of Ryan Ayache as Senior Banking Analyst. Mr. Ayache's appointment marks a further step in the ongoing build-out of Renaissance Capital's world-class product in the high-opportunity MENA region. He brings substantial expertise and a proven track record of leading MENA financials and banks research coverage, having worked with Deutsche Bank's CEEMEA team in the United Arab Emirates since 2009.

During his tenure at Deutsche Bank, Mr. Ayache produced a number of key reports on the broader emerging markets space, including a major global study on Islamic banking and research on the African banking sector. His team was consistently ranked among the top three in the annual Institutional Investor survey in 2011-2013. Prior to Deutsche Bank, over 2007-2009 Mr Ayache led MENA financials research at CA Cheuvreux Middle East.

Mr. Ayache reports jointly to David Nangle, Head of Equity Research at Renaissance Capital, and Ahmed Badr, Head of MENA Equities and CEO of the Firm's Dubai office, which is scheduled to open later this year.

Ahmed Badr said, “Renaissance Capital's high-calibre research franchise is an integral component of our MENA presence, where the Firm is currently expanding its footprint. As we are actively establishing a dedicated MENA-equity research team, Ryan's appointment significantly accelerates our offering capabilities, boosting Renaissance's growth and success in the region."

David Nangle said, “Ryan's addition to the research team complements our strength and depth in the CEMEA and frontiers space. Ryan is a quality analyst and our first dedicated MENA research hire and a great base off which we intend to build one of the best MENA offerings on the street. We are very happy to have him on board”.
