OREANDA-NEWS. September 08, 2014. In January-June 2014 industrial enterprises of Chisinau produced commodities amounting to MDL 9.5 billion, 60.2% of Moldova’s total industrial output, InfoMarket was said at the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS).

The processing industry’s output was 73% of the total amount, making MDL 6.95 billion, up 6.6% against the same period of 2013. In particular, the output grew 12% to MDL 2.34 billion in the food industry. In the reporting period it was produced 40.7% more canned fruit and vegetables, which amounted to MDL 438.9 million; the dairy output reached MDL 357.5 million, up 28,6%); the output of the baking industry was MDL 524,4 million, up 5.1%; the output of beverages made up MDL 777,8 million, down 21%; the grape wine production was MDL 201.2 million, down 45.9%).

The industrial output was MDL 359.7 million in the closing industry, up 39,4%; MDL 84 million in the footwear one, down 18,2%; MDL 274.5 million in the chemical industry, up 28.5%; the output of robber and plastic items was MDL 472 million, up 5.1%; the glass items output was MDL 524.9 million, up 14.4%, etc. In January-June 2014, production volumes of heat, gas, water and power enterprises reduced 8.2% to MDL 1 billion 798 million.

The mining industry reported an increase by 22.6% to MDL 61.8 million. Private enterprises of Chisinau contributed about 39% in the production output; 18.2% was contributed by joint ventures; state-owned enterprises’ contribution was 15.4%; sate-and-private capital companies made the 15.2% share and foreign capital companies contributed 12.3%.
