OREANDA-NEWS. September 10, 2014. The II National Forum “Accessible Electric Grids: Projects, Experience, Pressing Issues” took place in St Petersburg on 5th September 2014. Attendees included representatives of federal and regional authorities, the largest electric grid companies, “OPORA Russia” national non-governmental organization and some industry experts.

Vitaly Korolyov, the Head of the Department of the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) for Control over Electric Power Industry, was one of the speakers at the plenary session. He drew attention to the pressing issues of antimonopoly regulation and control over electric power industry and implementing the Road Map for increasing accessibility of electric power infrastructure.

“It is very important to see feedback with market participants especially in the part of efficient implementation of newly adopted changes to the law and the prospects of planned initiatives. To reach the objectives set in the Road Map such communication is very useful – it shows what remains to be corrected and how relations in the field of technical connection to eclectic power networks should be regulated to be carried out in accordance with the established procedure and within the statutory period”, pointed out Vitaly Korolyov.
