OREANDA-NEWS. Ecopetrol S.A. (BVC: ECOPETROL; NYSE: EC; TSX: ECP), in compliance with Article 5.2.4.1.5 of Decree 2555 of 2010, would like to inform that it was served notice of Resolution No. 186 of 2014 issued by the Ministry of Labor - Bolivar Regional Office of Labor - by means of which a sanction is imposed on the Company in the amount of fifty-eight million nine hundred and fifty thousand Colombian pesos (COP 58,950,000).

The events producing the sanction are related to an alleged violation of the length of the workday at the Cartagena refinery.

Ecopetrol is engaged in corresponding actions before the contentious jurisdiction to request annulment and re-establishment of a right.
