OREANDA-NEWS. An agreement for delivering the newest EGES (Turkey) induction furnace to the factory was signed during a special ceremony at Blagoveshchensk Valves Plant (BVP Open Joint Stock Company, based in the Republic of Bashkortostan, part of United Metallurgical Company, OMK CJSC, Moscow). This agreement is the next landmark in the company's implementation of a wide-scale investment program for 2013-2014 which includes over 600 million rubles in investments. Managing Director Alexander Kozhevnikov signed the agreement on behalf of BVP, and President Ismet Izgul signed on behalf of EGES.

The new equipment will reduce the melting time by a quarter, lower energy consumption by 60%, and increase the quality of finished products. Under this contract, BVP will also acquire a modern gas purification system which will minimize the steel furnace's impact on the atmosphere. The gas purification system will also clean the air from the effects of the steel melting equipment that is already operating at the factory.

“Signing a contract to deliver a modern furnace is an important stage of implementing the wide-scale investment program at Blagoveshchensk Valves Plant, which started after the factory was incorporated into OMK. The new equipment will increase the foundry's efficiency and will have a favorable impact on the ecological situation in Blagoveshchensk,” said Alexander Kozhevnikov, BVP's Managing Director.
