OREANDA-NEWS. September 16, 2014. A signing ceremony was convened on the Strategic Cooperation Agreement between MCC Group and China Merchants Group in Shenzhen.

According to the agreement, both parties will conduct collaboration in the key fields of infrastructure construction, real estate development, industrial-financial interaction and overseas projects.

Prior to the signing ceremony, President Guo Wenqing of MCC Group and Chairman Li Jianhong of China Merchants Group held a discussion. In a friendly and cordial atmosphere, both parties reviewed the profound friendship, discussed the cooperation issues and talked about the promising cooperation prospect.

President Guo made a briefing on the history and the development situation of MCC Group. According to Guo, MCC Group enjoys outstanding professional advantages in survey, design, construction and engineering supervision. It has made remarkable achievements in construction of road, urban complex, high-rise building, large-sized stadium and large-span steel structure. MCC Group has successfully completed a bunch of projects in both China and overseas regions, and thus accumulated rich experiences. In China, MCC Group has smoothly finished the comprehensive development of Hengqin Islands of Zhuhai City in Guangdong Province. In overseas regions, it has completed the Expressway of Bandaranaike International Airport in Colombo in EPC manner, which is known as the No. 1 Expressway at the National Gateway. China Merchants Group has a history of over 140 years, and accumulated rich experiences in transportation, port and highway construction, real estate development and property management. Guo pointed out that, thanks to several times of communication, as well as the highly efficient and practical implementation by the working teams, both parties have made positive progress in collaboration. Sticking to the principles of alliance between giants, complementing each other's advantages, overall cooperation and mutual benefit, both parties will work closely in the key aspects such as infrastructure construction, real estate development, industrial-financial interaction and overseas projects.

Li Jianhong extended warm welcome to Guo Wenqing and his visiting delegation members, and made a briefing on the history and development progress of various business sectors of China Merchants Group. According to Li, China Merchants Group and MCC Group share a perfect partnership and cooperative foundation. MCC Group enjoys unique advantages and rich experiences in construction field. Li expected that, basing upon the existing cooperative projects and taking the agreement signing as the opportunity, both parties would open their resources and markets to each other and conducted overall in-depth collaboration.

After the meeting and under witness by Guo Wenqing, Li Jianhong and the other leaders of both parties, President Zhang Zhaoxiang of MCC and President Li Xiaopeng of China Merchants Group signed the Strategic Cooperation Agreement, Chairman Cheng Bingqiang of the 5th China Metallurgical Construction Group (5MCC Group) and General Manager He Jianya of China Merchants Property signed the Cooperative Agreement on Grand Rubick-cube Project in Chengdu.

The relevant staff of both parties were present at the meeting.
