OREANDA-NEWS. September 19, 2014. 40 teenagers from Turpan prefecture, Xinjiang, were invited to visit the BOC Head Office Building, and attended the opening ceremony of the "2014 BOC Xinjiang Youth Care Summer Camp". BOC Executive Vice President Zhang Jinliang attended the event, communicated and took group photos with them to mark the occasion.

After the opening ceremony, these youth representatives from Xinjiang visited the BOC Head Office Building designed by Leoh Ming Pei, a world-famous Chinese American architect; appreciated the beauty of the traditional Chinese culture in the "Hall of Four Seasons" displaying the landscape architecture essence of the classical garden of Suzhou; witnessed the fast-changing global market in China's biggest foreign exchange trading room; and felt in person the rich history and brilliant achievement of China's only centennial and most internationalized bank.

During their stay in Beijing, these teenagers will climb the Great Wall and visit the Forbidden City to feel the glorious and brilliant Chinese civilization; attend the flag-raising ceremony at Tiananmen Square to reminisce the sacrifice and dedication of revolutionary martyrs; visit prestigious institutions of higher education including Tsinghua University and Peking University, to build the ambition to study hard and contribute to the development of the motherland; and have exchange activities with primary and middle school students in Beijing to enhance mutual understanding and friendship.

The "2014 BOC Xinjiang Youth Care Summer Camp" lasts 7 days. It is one of the major measures taken by the Youth League Committee of BOC to implement the spirits of the second central work conference on the development and stability of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region and the working meeting of the Youth League on giving assistance to Xinjiang; practically implement the Bank's development strategy of "Serving Society, Delivering Excellence"; strengthen education in patriotism and national unity among young people and promote exchanges and harmony between Xinjiang and other parts of China. BOC will make elaborate arrangements so that the summer camp can become a memory to be cherished by teenagers of all ethnic groups as they grow up.
