OREANDA-NEWS. September 23, 2014. Road show to present investment opportunities of Kazakhstan for potential Mexican investors was held during official visit of Kazakh Foreign Affairs Minister Erlan Idrissov in Mexico.

Similar road show was a great success in of Sao Paulo in October 2013, dedicated to opening of Kazakh Embassy in Brazil (at the end of that road show, the largest Brazilian company "Magnesita" opened its representative office in Kazakhstan in March, 2014 and has been actively working with Kazakh side).

Organizer of the road show was National Agency for Export and Investment "KAZNEXINVEST" supported by Ministry for Investment and Development, Foreign Affairs Ministry of Kazakhstan, as well as Mexican Agency for Trade and Investment ProMexico. Kazakh delegation included representatives of JSC "NC "KazMunaiGas", JSC "Kazgeologiya", private companies.

As part of a road show, potential Mexican investors were presented investment climate of the Republic of Kazakhstan, including new measures of state support, approved by the President in June of this year, as well as current state and prospects of development of petrochemical, mining and geological industry of Kazakhstan, production of construction materials.

More than 20 organizations and leading companies, including ACCIVAL, COMCE, GrupoNavierodeMexico, Mabe Internacional, PEMEX, etc. participated in the road show from Mexican side headed by Minister of Economy of Mexico Ildefonso Guajardo Villarreal.

There have been achieved a number of agreements between business communities of the two countries, including the company Mabe Internacional on consideration a possibility of establishing production of household appliances in Kazakhstan with Fandelipo company on production of abrasive materials. In addition, on the basis of the road show, National Agency for Export and Investment "KAZNEXINVEST" and Mexican Agency for Trade and Investment ProMexico signed a memorandum of understanding, which laid foundation for further investment cooperation between the two countries.
