OREANDA-NEWS. September 23, 2014. The Shvabe holding, which is a subsidiary of the Rostec State Corporation, will present innovative developments in the field of astronomy at the Siberian Astronomical Forum, which will take place in Novosibirsk Region.

The Shvabe Stand will present a refractor telescope for small observatories that can operate as a remote access telescope with the ability to automatically orient itself to specific objects in the sky. It has a small night vision sight with a high-aperture, multi-coated lens that can operate between temperatures of –40 to +40 °С. In addition, visitors to the exhibition will be able to see a thermal imaging monocular with a new data processing system, which provides the best image quality and instant recognition of target objects. The device also increases the maximum distance of detection.

The Siberian Astronomical Forum is a joint event of the Novosibirsk Mayor's Office, the Shvabe holding, the Siberian Academy of Geodesy (GOU VPO SGGA), and the Planetarium Children's and Youth Center. The Forum enjoys the support of scientific and educational organizations that are directly engaged in amateur and professional astronomy, designers and manufacturers of astronomical equipment, as well as other commercial and public organizations, the press service of Shvabe reports.

The holding actively participates in various exhibitions and forums, not only those held in Russia. Between September 16 and 21 Shvabe will be present at the PHOTOKINA International Photo Equipment Trade Fair held in Cologne, Germany, where it will demonstrate its new lenses at its 50 sq. m. exhibition stand.
