OREANDA-NEWS. September 24, 2014. That was announced by the National Energy Regulatory Agency, which noted many oil traders had notified the Agency of the increases in the petrol and diesel prices by MDL 0.3 and MDL 0.2 per litre respectively.

According to ANRE, from July and up to present, the average PLATT’s petrol and diesel prices were declining, giving no reasons for the fuel prices in Moldova to grow. However, in line with the law in force, ANRE is not authorized to establish or approve fuel prices since the fuel market in Moldova is free and competitive, the Agency says.

In this connection, ANRE has invited representatives of fuel traders and bodies in charge to take part in a roundtable discussion on September 23 to discuss the situation in the fuel market and the new rules of the fuel price formation and application ANRE offered for public hearing on August 15. ANRE expects the new rules will improve pricing policies considerably.
