OREANDA-NEWS. According to the preliminary data of the Georgian National Statistics Office "GeoStat", in January-August 2014, Georgia's foreign trade turnover made USD 7 411 million (excluding spontaneous trade), that is by 12% more as compared with the same period of 2013.

In the reporting period, export made over USD 1 914 billion (by 9% more), while import - over USD 5 497 billion (by 13% more).

Georgia's negative trade balance made USD3 584 million, 48% of the total foreign trade turnover.
