OREANDA-NEWS. September 25, 2014. Prime Minister Karim Massimov has held cabinet meeting to consider implementation process of the President’s assignments in Ukimet Uiy.

Minister of National Economy Yerbolat Dossayev informed on improvement of subsidizing mechanism of agricultural producers.

"Amount of subsidies has amounted to 156.6 billion tenge this year, which is 1.8 times more than last year. Current subsidy system includes 26 types and more than 100 subtypes at national and local levels. The main share of subsidies falls for livestock and crop production," Mr. Dossayev said.

According to the Minister, overhaul of the existing system has become necessary to improve the efficiency of subsidies and removal of structural restrictions on distribution of subsidies among all agricultural producers.

In this regard, public organs have developed and submitted the measures for improvement of agriculture.

Following the discussion, Mr. Massimov instructed National Economy Ministry and Agriculture Ministry in conjunction with the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs to develop Roadmap for introduction of new mechanisms to subsidize agribusiness industries.

Minister of Education and Science of Kazakhstan Aslan Sarinzhipov presented the draft law "On amendments and additions to some legislative acts of Kazakhstan on education" by President’s order.

In particular, the bill provides for free provision of the first technical professional education; the concept of dual training is being introduced; and an educational process at an enterprise is being fixed.

"Thus, the state will provide for getting working professions on recommendation of the World Bank and the International Labour Organization," A. Sarinzhipov said.

Submitted the draft Law has been approved by the Government.
