OREANDA-NEWS. Chief Engineer of FSUE "Gas-Turbine Engineering RPC "Salut", Mr. Yuri R. Nurtdinov, and Vice President of Moscow Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Sergey G. Shmakov, have signed the agreement on cooperation in lean production.

Established as part of the "Lean Moscow" program implementation, Salut's Lean Production Centre is aimed at providing the knowledge to the managers and technical specialists of industrial enterprises in Moscow, which they can put to practical use at their respective enterprise's facilities.

Organized by "ORGPROM", the first master-class at Salut began on 15 September 2014. Representatives of more than 20 industrial enterprises took on the "Value streams analysis" block. Taking the stage, Yuri Nurtdinov and Sergey Shmakov underscored the importance of learning the techniques and methods of lean production, and being able to constantly see the possibilities for improvement of production efficiency, ensuring enterprise's long-term competitive ability, increase of income and profit.

As means of practical training, exemplary workplaces and standardized processes will be established at Salut's divisional pilot plants. In total, the following master-classes are to take place at Salut till the end of the year: "Tools of processes' improvement", "Total Production Management", "Calculation of economical effect" and "Lean methods in office work".

The format of training, combining motivational theoretical part and practical implementation, provides unquestionable advantages. Active employment of the participants in the production processes within extremely short time helps form lean-thinking and internal demand for improvements.
