OREANDA-NEWS. The third phase of the Samburgskoye gas condensate field developed by SeverEnergiya LLC (a joint venture between Gazprom Neft and NOVATEK) has been commissioned and is now in full commercial production. The capacity of the third phase exceeds 2 billion cubic metres of natural gas per annum, bringing production to its design capacity of approximately 7 billion cubic metres of gas per annum.

The Samburgskoye deposit is located in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District in the Samburgsky licence plot. Production at the deposit has been ongoing since April 2012 and in 2013 totalled 4.8 billion cubic metres of gas and 646,000 tonnes of liquid hydrocarbons.

SeverEnergiya LLC is a joint venture between Gazprom Neft and NOVATEK. SeverEnergiya holds 100% of JSC Arcticgas, which holds the licences for the Samburgsky licence plot, in which the Samburgskoye, Urengoiskoye, Vostochno-Urengoiskoye and Severo-Esetinskoye fields are located. Additionally, Arcticgas also holds licences for the Yaro-Yakhinsky, Evo-Yakhinsky and Severo-Chaselsky licence plots. As at 1 January 2014, SeverEnergiya's recoverable reserves of the ABC1+C2 categories of the Russian reserve classification totalled 14.5 billion barrels of oil equivalent, including 5.5 billion barrels of liquid hydrocarbons. In the spring of 2014, Gazprom Neft and NOVATEK reached an agreement on parity control of the company.
