OREANDA-NEWS. On September 29, 2014 a BUCE delegation led by Arkadi Salikov, Chairman of the Board, held a business meeting in Moscow with Alexander Romanov, President of the Russian Union of Metal Suppliers, Alexei Ryzhykov, President of OJSC Clearing Center of MSE, Nelli Galimkhanova, deputy head of the defense complex of the Federal Antitrust Service of Russia, and Kamilla Tavakova, head of Metals Department of the Federal Antitrust Service of Russia.

The meeting took place as part of the preparations ahead of the session of FAS Expert Council dedicated to development of competition in metal industry. Topping the agenda of the forthcoming session will be the adoption of the “fourth antitrust package”, including the possibility of using exchange quotations in antitrust regulation of metal trade in Russia.

The participants of the meeting also discussed the practice of creating a civilized competitive market using exchange trade instruments as well as the experience of holding exchange trade auctions at BUCE.

Arkadi Salikov, Chairman of the Board, and Alexander Romanov, President of the Russian Union of Metal Suppliers, received an official invitation to speak at the upcoming session of FAS Expert Council and voice their opinion regarding the issue under discussion.
