OREANDA-NEWS. October 06, 2014. Moldova’s Government approved the concept for developing the data base system of the same name to keep records on crops stored in storehouses of Moldova, their owners, the crops certificates, etc.

The responsibility to develop, administrate and maintain the data base has been imposed on the Agriculture Ministry of Moldova.

The establishment of the automated register is consistent with Moldova’s Lending Strategy for Crops Producers and aims to ensure timely sales of crops at competitive prices; to regulate the crops market; to provide the authorities with updated information about the crops stored, the storehouse certificates and the lending to crops producers; to ensure respect for principles of free competition on the crops market and compliance of the storage with technological requirements; to facilitate the development of the crops pledge mechanism and to ensure proper analysis of the data about the crops stored, Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry of Moldova Vasile Bumacov said.
