OREANDA-NEWS. A working meeting took place today between Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee and Walter Peeraer, Chief Executive Officer of Belgian company Fluxys in the frames of the 4th St. Petersburg International Gas Forum.

The parties considered possible expansion of the partnership in the gas sector, touching upon the prospects for the cooperation deepening in natural gas transmission and storage as well as liquefied natural gas (LNG) regasification in Europe.

Belgian gas transmission company Fluxys owns a network of transnational gas pipelines in Northwestern Europe with the annual throughput capacity of 82 billion cubic meters. It also deals with natural gas and LNG transit and storage.

Fluxys provides Gazprom Group with gas transmission capacities to supply gas to the UK and Belgium.
