OREANDA-NEWS. October 15, 2014. The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) initiated cases against two producers of construction materials in the Crimean Federal District (CFD).

FAS suspects that a large producer of aggregates – “Sharkhinsky Quarry” Public JSC unreasonably fixed different prices for granite macadam for different buyers, and exposed elements of fixing monopolistically high prices for cement by “Stroiindustria” Bakhchisarai Integrated Works” Private JSC.

In July 2014, FAS inspected the largest producers of construction materials in CFD whether prices fixed by the companies compiled with the antimonopoly law.

“FAS continues carefully watching the situation on the markets of construction materials in the Crimean Federal District”, pointed out the Head of FAS Department for Control over Industry and Defence Complex, Maxim Ovchinnikov. “Should new elements of violations be exposed, the Federal Antimonopoly Service shall apply measures of antimonopoly enforcement”.
