OREANDA-NEWS. MAYKOR announced the expansion of cooperation with Rostelecom. Outsourcer will now service more than 2,400 reprographic devices (multifunction peripherals, printers and scanners) at 180 Rostelecom offices and sales centers in St. Petersburg and Leningrad Oblast under a two-year contract.

As part of the service, MAYKOR's specialists will be responsible for the timely performance of preventive and routine maintenance, troubleshooting equipment, replacing consumables, setting up new devices, etc. The service package also includes print quality monitoring, which will allow the customer to obtain information about what was printed and the number of printed copies made by individual users. The customer can use this information as a basis for printing cost optimization decisions. Payment is calculated based on the number of printed pages.

Andrey Yakovkin, Deputy Director of the Macroregional Division and Director for Information Technologies at the North-West Macroregional Division of OJSC Rostelecom, noted: "We aim to develop an effective policy that will allow us to 'discipline' the print service by reducing printing costs while maintaining quality. Outsourcing our printing needs under a scheme that allows for paying by the copy helps us to achieve this goal: we get a high-quality service in accordance with the SLA as well as printing cost monitoring tools."

This is not the first contract that MAYKOR has concluded with OJSC Rostelecom in the field of IT outsourcing. Under a similar contract, MAYKOR provides printing services and maintenance for 30,000 workstations at all branch offices of the national operator in the Volga Macroregion.
