OREANDA-NEWS. October 20, 2014. Stats-Secretary, Deputy Head of the Federal Antimonopoly Service, Andrey Tsarikovskiy, discussed the issue, the second day of the VI Annual Competition on Antimonopoly Regulation in Russia that took place in Brussels.

He emphasized that “in several years we achieved the results comparable with the results of those countries where the antimonopoly law has been in place for over 100 years”, and pointed out that today Russia has a clear and well-adjusted anti-cartel system.

“Anti-cartel efforts are a priority for Russian antimonopoly authority”, pointed out Deputy Head of FAS. “Unfortunately, cooperation between the authorities of different states in investigating those most serious economic violations is not sufficiently elaborated”.

He emphasized that to increase efficiency of investigating international anticompetitive agreements competition authorities must discuss the format of their practical cooperation.

Andrey Tsarikovskiy also reminded participants about an initiative of Russian antimonopoly authority to draft an international anti-cartel Convention.
