OREANDA-NEWS. The Central Asia Industrial week inter-industry project organised by ITE Uzbekistan and their partners ITE Group of Companies will take place from 21 to 23 October 2014 at the Uzexpocentre National Exhibition Complex.

Central Asian Industrial Week is a business event which is the nexus for the interests of mutually dependent industries. The event is an ideal opportunity for the demonstration and promotion of the latest industrial equipment, technologies, technological developments and the exchange of experience between domestic and foreign producers.

The exhibition is divided into 2 large themed sectors. The first sector which is dedicated to the mining industry, metallurgy and machine building will be located in Pavilion 1 as well as two open air platforms of the Uzexpocentre where large construction equipment and machinery for mining will be displayed.

The second sector will demonstrate achievements in the chemical industry, plastics, polymers, packaging and printing, which will be located in Pavilion 2 of the exhibition complex.

This year's exhibitions stand out with their substantial business programme, which includes business meetings, presentations, round tables and negotiations between exhibitors and specialist visitors. A presentation organised by an association of companies and organisations from the Czech Republic involved in information and communication technologies for different industries will take place immediately after the official opening ceremony of the exhibitions.

At the same time, Miners and metallurgists will gather to discuss prospects for the development of the coal industry, modern geological survey methods, radio communication technologies in the mining industry and other relevant subjects during the International MiningWorld Uzbekistan 2014 conference. The UZEGOINVEST 2014 International Conference on the Investment Potential of Minerals in the Republic of Uzbekistan will take place on the next day, with the support of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The priorities for the economic development of the Republic have been the key to stimulating the creation of an integrated event for the most important industries on one platform and at the same time. Unique high capacity and enterprises representing practically all industries are active in Uzbekistan today. Approximately 2/3 of machine building production in Central Asia takes place in Uzbekistan.

According to the report of the State Statistics Committee, the volume of industrial production in Uzbekistan for January-June 2014 has increased by 8.1% compared to the same period in 2013 and has reached 34.6 trillion som (nearly 15 billion dollars according to the rate of the Central Bank of Uzbekistan) in comparable prices, An important factor is that the Government of Uzbekistan will invest nearly USD 30.075 billion into the development of industry by 2015.

The Programme on the Priorities of the Development of Industry in the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2011-2015 includes 158 investment projects with great potential, with a total preliminary cost of USD 10.98 billion in different industry sectors. The stage by stage implementation of the projects will lead to a rise in industrial production growth from 8.3% in 2011 to 11.8% in 2015. The volume of industrial production will grow from 30.748 trillion som to 50.412 trillion som. According to government forecasts, these measures will allow to increase the share of industry in the structure of GDP in Uzbekistan from 23.9% to 28%. The decree also suspended customs payments (apart from customs duties) on equipment, materials and components which are not produced in the Republic and imported for use in projects which are part of the Programme until 1st January 2016, which also stimulates major international producers of machinery and technologies.

The unified exhibitions of Central Asian Industrial Week will present over 100 companies from 18 countries, taking place in two pavilions and in the open air area of the Uzexpocentre National Exhibition Complex. Exhibiting countries will include Austria, UK, Germany, Italy, Kazakhstan, China, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Poland, Belarus, Russia, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Finland, Czech Republic, Switzerland, Sweden and South Korea. Italy and Russia will be represented by group stands at the exhibition. 35 companies will be making their debut at the exhibition, with 75% foreign and 25% domestic exhibitors.

A wide range of the latest developments in different industries will be presented to the professional visitors, as well as the latest generation of equipment, technologies and services. Mining industry experts will be able to engage in constructive dialogue about a number of constructive offerings. Business meetings with potential partners are being planned that will take place next to the stands of the representatives of machine building enterprises, suppliers and distributors of specialised equipment, utilities services, chemical industry specialists and producers of plastics and polymers.

The centre of the 1st Pavilion will be occupied by the 9th International MiningWorld Uzbekistan 2014 exhibition. The strong mining sector and the possibility of entering the market of Uzbekistan through this exhibition attracts the attention of a large number of foreign companies that visit Tashkent every year. Exhibitors will include the largest producers and suppliers of mining, crushing, sorting and drilling equipment and installations, asphalt plants and developers of solutions for geological surveying and mining, including Micromine (Australia), Bauer, Hausherr (Germany), AMS Industrial Group (Iran), Henan Liming Heavy, Zheng zhou vipeak heavy industry co.,ltd, Shanghai Jianye (China) and many others. The stands of the 7th Machinery Central Asia Exhibition add to the display of mining equipment with several sections including Metallurgy, Machine Building and Industrial Automation. The 6th International UzComak 2014 Exhibition of road building and specialised machinery will be just as substantial. This event has united the interests of the suppliers and producers of road building machinery and equipment, demonstrating prospects for the development of the road building industry of Uzbekistan. The exhibition will take place with the support of Uzavtoyul State JSC.

In the first half of the year, organisations that are part of Uzavtoyul SJSC will carry out road building and renovation works to the value of 564 billion 400 million som. Contracts to the value of 930 billion 400 million som have been signed in the first half of 2014 as part of the implementation of the investment programme for road building and repair with a total length of 534 km. Significant changes can be seen in the chemical and plastics industries which also form part of the foundation of the economy of the country. Uzkhimprom is now going through preparations for the implementation of 14 projects for the release of new products with high added value, as well as the modernisation of existing production capacities. The time scale for the implementation of the projects is until the end of 2019. Uzkhimprom is planning to build a gas and chemical complex in 2018 or the production of olefins to the value of 1.27 billion dollars as a joint venture with Uzbekneftegaz National Holding company. The capacity of the new facility is 500 thousand tonnes of methanol, 190 thousand tonnes of ethylene, 150 thousand tonnes of polyvinyl chloride and 90 thousand tonnes of caustic soda.

The list also includes the implementation of the annual production of 150 thousand tonnes of complex mineral fertilizers in Navoi region to the value of 380 million dollars and the modernisation of FerganaAzot OJSC (a new ammonium plant) for 390 million dollars. The trend for growth could also be seen in the line-up of exhibitors at the international Chemie Uzbekistan 2014 and Plastex Uzbekistan 2014 exhibitions which will be located in Pavilion 2 of the Uzexpocentre.

KG (Germany), Polyfame (Canada), HAITAI Machinery Co.,Ltd, Qingdao Leader Machinery Co.,Ltd, Xin Xing Twin Screw Machinery Co.,Ltd (China), SM.Platek (South Korea) and many other companies with a range of offers for effective business cooperation with the industry of Uzbekistan. A record number of 20 exhibitors from the People's Republic of China will be at the exhibition this year.

The 16th International O'ZBEKinPrint-O'ZuPACK Printing and Packaging Exhibition will take place under a new business to business format as part of the Central Asian Industrial Week for the first time. The exhibition will attract the interest of professionals, manufacturers and producers that want to provide excellent quality packaging for their products and present it in the best possible way as well as representatives of publishers, advertising agencies and event organisers - everyone that is connected to image making and the packaging industry in one way or another. Printing services and packaging solutions are an important marketing tool for the presentation of products both on the internal and external market.

The organisers forecast that the organisation of the International Central Asian Industrial Week in the format of six leading industry exhibitions on one platform in tow large pavilions will allow for more effective exchange of experience, improving cooperation, signing agreements and for long term interaction between different industries.
