OREANDA-NEWS. October 21, 2014. Kazakhstan will complete all the procedures for entry into the WTO by December 2014. It was reported by First Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Bakhytzhan Sagintayev during the International Innovation Forum in Almaty.

"On October 9, an agreement on completion of bilateral negotiations between Kazakhstan and the European Union on accession to the WTO was signed in Brussels. Now the question with the United States remains. Yesterday we talked about it with Prime Minister, and our delegation will leave for Washington next week. And I think that all the procedures will be completed by December. We hope that Kazakhstan will be ready to join the WTO," he said.

In early May 2014, the President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev said that Kazakhstan will join the WTO by the end of 2014 during the Board meeting of Governors of the Asian Bank.
