OREANDA-NEWS. October 23, 2014. Sberbank of Russia has been announced the winner of a tender held by Megafon Retail OJSC to select the provider of cash-in-transit services. As a result, Sberbank of Russia will provide such services to the company’s retail office in 388 cities throughout Russia.

“The Telecommunications, Media and Technology sector, which Megafon Retail is part of, has a number of strict requirements for cash-in-transit services. In particular, maximum territorial coverage of cash-in-transit services for the properties being serviced, which are very spread out; frequent collection; rapid depositing of the transited revenue into the client’s account, and competitive pricing. Sberbank offers services that fully meet these requirements,” commented Svetlana Sagaidak, Senior Vice President of Sberbank of Russia.

“Over 20 candidates took part in the tender to select a supplier of cash-in-transit services. The main criteria for selecting a partner was the company’s stability and reliability, and also how it fares in market ratings,” commented Mikhail Zolotovitsky, Director of Megafon Retail. “At the moment in Russia there are over 2,000 communications salons that account for more than 30% of MegaFon’s sales.”
