OREANDA-NEWS. Ingosstrakh Insurance Company has settled loss related to the damage of stock in DIXY store in Ramensky District of the Moscow Region. The damage paid in respect of the fire risk amounted to RUB 1.5 m.

The property of the store was insured by Ingosstrakh Insurance Company from the risks of fire, lightning, gas explosion, natural disasters, malicious acts of third party, burglary and robbery, falling of piloted aircrafts or their debris, collision of land vehicles, as well as against the breaking of glazing. Pursuant to the terms of the contract, insurance is provided for non-residential buildings, inventory (food and other goods), retail equipment and furniture.

The incident occurred on the 15th of May, 2014. The shopping center in the village of Ostrovtsy of Ramensky District of the Moscow Region was set ablaze by unidentified persons. The fire completely destroyed the warehouse of one of DIXY shops, where household chemicals and groceries were stored. Part of the inventory in the retail space was damaged by the products of combustion and had to be written off.

Criminal proceedings were initiated in respect of the arson. After examining all the circumstances of the incident, as well as the results of the investigation conducted by the internal affairs agencies, Ingosstrakh Insurance Company recognized the case as an insured event and indemnified the shop for the losses associated with the damage to the inventory totaling RUB 1.5 m.
