OREANDA-NEWS. JSC Metrowagonmash (a part of JSC Transmashholding) will deliver 27 DPS two-car DMUs and spare parts for them to Serbian Railways (Zeleznice Srbije) by the end of 2017. The first 2 trains will come to Serbia within 15 months upon entry the signed agreement into force (after authorization by Ministry of Finance of Russian Federation), as per the Holding's PR department.

DMU is designated for railways with gauge 1435mm built in most European countries. Currently, 12 trainsets supplied within 2010-2012 are successfully operated in the Republic of Serbia. DPS DMU is equipped with Hubner gangway for safety and comfort passengers' movement inside the whole train. Driver's cab and passenger saloon are fitted with Webasto HVAC (Germany either). A special storing area for baby carriages, bicycles, wheelchairs and oversize luggage is designed near entrance door in a car with a toilet. Tip-up seats are mounted on side walls in this area from toilet side and on the opposite end.

Passengers can get in and off train both from high-floor and low-floor platforms, as well as from ground.

PDS DMUs meet requirements of current international standards and European regulations imposed on noise level, energy efficiency, material quality and exhaust emissions.

DMUs and railbuses built at JSC Metrowagonmash in the different time periods are efficiently operated not only in Russia and Serbia, but also in Lithuania, Mongolia, Hungary, Czech Republic and Ukraine.
