OREANDA-NEWS. Uralhimmash OJSC won the tender for the manufacture and assembly-erection of two spherical vessels with 2400 m3 capacity for Tobolsk-Neftehim LLC (a part of SIBUR-Holding OJSC).

According to the tender terms, the plant shall manufacture elements of vessels of a new standard size that were never manufactured before and were never used on the territory of Russia. For the manufacture of the spherical shell, it is planned to use 45 mm thick steel SA 537.

The elements of the equipment should be manufactured and delivered to the client before April of the next year, and the assembly-erection of the vessels should be completed by July 30, 2015.

Uralhimmash OJSC produces spherical vessels of various capacities from 600 m3 to 6600 m3. For the manufacture of elements of the spherical vessel shells, the plant uses two production techniques simultaneously: the method of cold rolling at NKMZ mill and the method of point deformation by means of Schleifstein press manufactured in Germany.

Over the last two years, Uralhimmash OJSC has manufactured and supplied over 30 sets of spherical vessels of various volumes.

OJSC Uralhimmash manufactures equipment for petrochemical and oil and gas processing industries, the chemical industry, iron & steel and non-ferrous metallurgy, companies in conventional and nuclear energy generation sectors and for the construction industry. Uralhimmash is certified to manufacture high-pressure vessels as required by the ASME Code (Section VIII, Division 1, Stamp U). In April 2011 Uralhimmash has successfully passed an audit for expansion of the certification area under the ASME Code (Section VIII, Division 2, stamp U2).
