OREANDA-NEWS. Sales of light commercial vehicles in Russia in September fell by 23% to 11.9 million units. For the first nine months of 2014, the sales of light commercial vehicles were 101.1 thousand cars - it is less by 18% than the year before. Two-thirds (68%) of sales were LCV of domestic brands, the rest 32% were foreign vehicles.

GAZ still dominates in the Russian market of LCV - it was sold 5.7 thousand cars of this brand in the last month (-28%), by occupying 48% of the market. UAZ was in second place, which reduced sales of light commercial vehicles by 14% to 1.5 thousand units. Leader among foreign LCV is Mercedes-Benz, which sold a little more than 1 thousand cars - 2.1 times more than the year before. The fourth place went to the Ford with 720 sold light commercial vehicles, which is less by 48% than the result of a year ago.
