OREANDA-NEWS. Belarusian Premier Mikhail Myasnikovich has voiced the idea that Belarus and Russia should make a broader use of the Russian ruble in mutual trade and joint investment projects.

"Money is a delicate matter. However, in the modern situation in order to expand our mutual trade and investment cooperation it is necessary to make a broader use the Russian ruble in transactions. I think it is an objective reality that we have to reckon with," Myasnikovich said.

The Belarusian premier also suggested resurrecting the former practice of pursuing a joint policy on long-term planning in the sector of industrial production and power engineering.
