OREANDA-NEWS. October 31, 2014. The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) held a regular meeting on executing the Road Map for “Developing Competition and Improving the Antimonopoly Policy” in 2013 and January – September 2014, chaired by Deputy Head of FAS Andrey Tsyganov.

Attendees included representatives of federal executive bodies “Strategic Initiatives Agency on Promoting New Projects” Autonomous Non-Profit Organization.

Overall, in January – September 2014, 90 events under the “Road Map” frame were planned, half of which to be executed by FAS, the Ministry of Transport and the Ministry of Health Care.

According to Deputy Head of FAS Analytical Department, Larisa Tselikova, at the moment more than half of the measures is executed – 50; and 22 are being executed.

For the first time participants discussed the expected social and economic effect from executed “Road Map” measures.

FAS will promptly forward the materials on the issue, refined by federal executive bodies, to the Government for consideration by the Economic Policy Working Group of Russian Trilateral Commission on regulating social-and-labour relations to execute Clause 3 of No.9 Protocol of the Working Group meeting of 03.06.2014.

The Road Map for “Developing Competition and Improving the Antimonopoly Policy” is one of the “Road Maps” under a national entrepreneurial initiative to improve the investment climate in the Russian Federation, that comprises system-wide measures as well as measures towards developing competition on particular markets – medicines, medical services, pre-school education, air transportation, communications and oil products.

On 17th August 2013, the Government of the Russian Federation made the Federal Antimonopoly Service the coordinator of actions of responsible executors and co-executors of the “Road Map” measures - 15 federal executive bodies and “Strategic Initiatives Agency on Promoting New Projects” Autonomous Non-Profit Organization.
