OREANDA-NEWS. November 06, 2014. The Pavlodar Region has all the conditions for business and export: electricity, infrastructure, and most importantly, there are good markets nearby, the Russian Federation and China are close, the Minister of Investment and Development Asset Issekeshev said during the International Investment Forum "ErtysInvest 2014".

Business representatives from Russia, France, Croatia, Switzerland, Spain, Germany, Ukraine and South Korea have expressed interest in investment projects that will be implemented in the region. Agreements, memoranda and agreements were signed.

Akimat of Pavlodar, department of subsoil and protection of environment and the Italian company ATENA Consulting signed a memorandum to the amount of USD 40 million for implementation of a project on waste management system. The project will be implemented in three phases: each within five years.

Eight memoranda were signed, including a memorandum with "KazAgro", on financing of agriculture projects for 25 billion tenge, five agreements for one billion tenge touch upon SMEs development.

Also, the agreement between the Pavlodar Innovative Eurasian University and the Project on climate change mitigation USAID (United States) on implementation of energy management and energy audit in the Pavlodar Region was signed.

According to the Minister of Investment and Development of Kazakhstan Asset Issekeshev, Kazakhstan's economic policy includes support for four major sectors for the coming years. The first is the raw materials sector, which gives macroeconomic stability. According to the Minister, there will be a new law on subsoil, which will mark the transition to the Australian model before the end of the year.

The second group is the manufacturing industry. The third one is an innovative sector that will dominate the world economy in the next 15-20 years. The fourth sector is tourism and services of small and medium-sized businesses that provide mass employment for the population.

Deputy Prime Minister of the Omsk Region, Economy Minister Alexander Tretyakov sees development of navigation on the Irtysh River as one of the ways to develop the economies of two border regions. "There is support of the federal government, it is assumed to initiate a specific action plan to address this problem in 2015, he said.
