OREANDA-NEWS. November 10, 2014. Kazakh Prime Minister Karim Massimov has participated in the forum opened in Almaty " Increased funding in Kazakhstan. Advantages and possibilities of Central Asian financial capital" in Astana.

Prime Minister noted opportunities of Almaty as a financial center in his video message to the participants of the forum.

"Location of Almaty along the Silk Road made the southern city a natural transport, trade and logistics hub connecting European and Asian markets. In addition, Almaty has established itself as a regional financial center, which focused banks, financial institutions and capital markets," K. Massimov said.

The Prime Minister stressed importance of further development of the financial center, considering Kazakhstan's plans on becoming one of the 30 most developed countries of the world.

"The President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev outlined the radical vision of long-term development of the country in the Strategy" Kazakhstan 2050 ". Of course, Almaty will play a key role in implementation of this bold vision for the future of the country. And the financial services industry remains a vital growth pole stimulating the development of Almaty," K. Massimov said.

In conclusion, the Prime Minister wished constructive and fruitful discussions during the forum.
The forum was organized by the National Bank of Kazakhstan jointly with Kazakhstan-British Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The forum was attended by representatives of executive authorities, public corporations, business community, as well as Kazakhstan and foreign experts.
