OREANDA-NEWS. Vodafone has been named as a leader in Gartner's first ever Magic Quadrant for Managed Machine-to-Machine (M2M) Services, for both ability to execute and completeness of vision.

Vodafone's Director of M2M, Erik Brenneis said, “This is tremendous news for Vodafone and we feel it shows that we have a strong, successful and differentiated approach to M2M. This is a highly competitive market and we will use this recognition as a spur to ensure that we continue to innovate while maintaining a focus on delivering for our customers.”

Vodafone has connected M2M customers globally for more than 20 years and powers some of the world's most prominent and successful M2M deployments including major operations at BMW and Amazon.

The assessment criteria for ability to execute included evaluating the product or service, overall viability, sales execution and pricing, market responsiveness and record, marketing execution, customer experience and operations. Criteria for completeness of vision included market understanding, marketing strategy, sales strategy, offering (product) strategy, business model, vertical and industry strategy, innovation and geographic strategy.
