OREANDA-NEWS. Izhevsk plant can resume the production of small vans of the type as "heel". "Until now, customers applied to Izhevsk car plant and ask if there is the possibility to buy passenger vans, whether there is an opportunity to begin again the production. This question is worked out now”, - a source in the enterprise informed the agency "Interfax".

We are talking about the issue of "heels" under the brand "IZH" - small vans, created on the basis of passenger cars. The question is really studied, but there are no specific terms, a source close to the car plant informed the newspaper "Vedomosti". The representative of the company said that there are no “heels” in the Izhevsk car production.

Production of "heels" in Izhevsk was stopped in 2012. At that time, the plant was producing vans IZH-27175 with the usage of nodes VAZ-2104, but AvtoVAZ stopped the production of obsolete "classic" models and, correspondingly, car kits.

Segment is perspective, but because of the small capacity it is not profitable to develop a new car, said the executive director of the agency "AUTOSTAT", Sergei Udalov.

It is appropriate to use licenses as already developed platform, for example the alliance Renault-Nissan, - it will reduce the price and accelerate the implementation of the project, agrees the Managing Director of AG Capital, Alexander Agibalov. According to his estimates, the costs in this case could reach tens of millions of dollars.

Earlier, sources of "Vedomosti" informed that Renault is considering among other models the possibility of release in Russia of "heel" Renault Dokker. This car or model, created on its base, could be produced in Izhevsk, suppose Mr.Udalov and Mr.Agibalov. Such a scheme AvtoVAZ Group has already applied, by adjusting the production Lada Largus in Togliatti, created on the platform of the Alliance: in addition to the passenger versions it is produced commercial modification. Renault representative declined to comment. Nissan, according to his representative, does not explore the possibility of production in Izhevsk the "heels" or models based on them.

If Izhevsk car plant will produce "heel" at the technical and price levels Largus (van costs from 363,000 rubles), which is still in deficit, then the high demand will be provided, supposes the dealer of AvtoVAZ. Sales in this case may be comparable, agrees Mr.Udalov. According to the agency "AUTOSTAT", for the nine months of 2014, Russia has sold about 6,000 Largus vans - model leads among other "heels.
