OREANDA-NEWS. November 11, 2014. The transfer of AREVA TA’s Command & Control for Transportation (CCT) activity to Alstom was completed.

This operation marks the conclusion of a process of information sharing and consultation with employee representative bodies of the concerned entities. Alstom will take on the employees of the CCT activity as part of its signalling division.

Carolle Foissaud, Chief Executive Officer of AREVA TA, said: “The industrial and labour relations plan proposed by Alstom Transport will offer the employees involved the opportunity to work in an environment that will be conducive to the development of their skills and one that has good prospects for growth.”

Pascal Clere, Senior Vice-President of Alstom Transport’s Signalling activity added: “This acquisition is an integral part of our growth strategy. The CCT business will enable us to strengthen our offer in signalling and puts us in a stronger position in the market for transport networks in the Paris and Ile-de-France areas, as well as for trams ”.  

The CCT activity includes the design and production of signalling solutions for trams and metros, the TCMS onboard safety information management system, as well as radio communications technology.
