OREANDA-NEWS. Rosoboronexport will once again Airshow China, a major international aviation and aerospace exhibition to be held on the expo grounds of Zhuhai, Guangdong Province, from November 11 through 16, 2014.

The Russian delegation at the trade show will take up more than 600 square meters of exhibition space to present over 200 state-of-the-art samples of aviation products for military use and aerospace equipment.

Of all the modern Russian aircraft, Chinese partners and prospective customers from other countries are expected to have the greatest interest in the multi-role high-agility Sukhoi Su-35 fighter, the Yakovlev Yak-130 training (and combat training) jet, the Mikoyan MiG-29-M2 multi-role frontline fighter, the Ilyushin Il-76MD-90A heavy-lift military transport plane and an aerial refueling tanker plane based on the Ilyushin Il-76MD-90.

As for rotary-wing aircraft, the Mil Mi-35M attack and transport helicopter/gunship, Kamov Ka-52 attack helicopter, Mil Mi-171-Sh military transport helicopter and Mil Mi-26 heavy-lift transport helicopter are most popular with international customers.

The China Airshow will open new horizons for cooperation between Russia and China

"This year's China International Aviation and Aerospace Show, the Airshow China, where state-of-the-art aircraft and equipment are displayed, is the tenth such show to be held," Head of the Air Force Department, Head of the Rosoboronexport delegation Sergey Kornev said. "This is one more Zhuhai Air Show for us as a specialized [military equipment] exporter. China is our strategic partner with which we have had mutually beneficial relations that go back many years. I am positive this year's [China] Airshow will open new horizons for cooperation between our countries."

The Rosoboronexport delegation has scheduled several meetings with international aviation partners during the Airshow to discuss matters relating to new and previously signed military and technology cooperation contracts.

Airshow China has been held once every two years in Zhuhai, Guangdong Province, since 1996. More than 600 companies from 35 countries are participating in this year's exhibition. Exhibitors have taken up pavilions with an overall area of 21,000 square meters. Airshow China attracts more than 300,000 visitors.
