OREANDA-NEWS. The Gazprom Neft Moscow Refinery processed a total nine million tonnes of oil in the first nine months of 2014 - some seven percent more than the same period last year. Depth of refining stood at 72.5 percent.

Total output of diesel fuel in the first nine months of this year was 1.8 million tonnes - exceeding levels for the same period last year by some 14 percent. Production of high-octane gasoline was up 19 percent in comparison with the same period last year, to two million tonnes. All high-octane gasolines produced at the Moscow Refinery meet Euro-5 standards. Production of aviation kerosene also increased in the first nine months of this year, up three percent to 541,800 tonnes.

A subsidiary of JSC Gazprom Neft, the Moscow Refinery has a total annual production capacity of 12.15 million tonnes per year, producing automotive fuels, diesel, marine and aviation fuels, heating oil, high-octane additives for automotive gasolines, bitumens, and gases for various applications. The facility meets approximately 40 percent of local demand for oil products in the Moscow region. The Moscow Refinery has been the centre of a major modernisation programme, total investment in which will, by 2020, exceed RUB130 billion.
