OREANDA-NEWS. AS Tallink Grupps Supervisory Board accepted the resignation letter of the CEO, Mr. Enn Pant from 1st of January 2015. CFO and Management Board Member Janek Stalmeister was appointed as the new CEO from next year. At the same time, Enn Pant was nominated as the member of and possibly the new Chairman of the Supervisory Board.

According to Enn Pant, the CEO of AS Tallink Grupp since 1996, the decision to resign does not mean he would retreat from Tallink in general. „During those 18 years I have built a magnificent company and put together a fantastic team. Janek is absolutely the right person to successfully lead the company. I will continue to participate in developing the business strategy for Tallink, just in the Supervisory Board", added Pant.

Janek Stalmeister said, that it is a large responsibility to guide such a powerful company. „ I have worked in Tallink since 1999 and participated in the rapid development of this enterprise. With this experience I wish to strengthen the leading position of the company even further", added Stalmeister.

The Supervisory Board of AS Tallink Grupp gathered on 11th of November and nominated Enn Pant as the member of the Supervisory Board to be appointed by the Extraordinary Shareholders General Meeting organized on 5th of December this year.

Janek Stalmeister (born in 1974) has been the member of the Management Board of AS Tallink Grupp since 2009. He has been the CFO of the company from 2005. During the years 1999 - 2004 he worked as the financial advisor, controller and vice financial director in Tallink. In 1994 - 1997 he was working in Estonian Ministry of Finance as the Head of the External Debt Service. He owns 45 000 shares of AS Tallink Grupp.

Enn Pant has been the CEO of AS Tallink Grupp from December 1996. In 1992 - 1996 Enn Pant was the Chancellor of Estonian Ministry of Finance. Pant owns 3 951 913 shares of AS Tallink Grupp.

AS Tallink Grupp Management Board members are Vice Chairman of the Board Andres Hunt, Lembit Kitter, marketing and sales director Peter Roose and the Head of Swedish subsidiary Tallink Silja Sverige AB, Kadri Land. The members of the Supervisory Board are Toivo Ninnas, Ain Hanschmidt, Eve Pant, Kalev Järvelill, Lauri Kustaa Äimä and Colin Douglas Clark.
