OREANDA-NEWS. The short film Made of Steel, commissioned by NLMK Group for the 80th anniversary of the Novolipetsk plant received the grand prix at Metal-Vision'2014, the 11th annual competition for best video in the Russian and CIS steelmaking industry. The film also won the prizes for best director and best commentary. The competition was held as part of the autumn Metals Week in Moscow.

Made of Steel is a collaborative effort of NLMK's press-service and the World View (Kartina Mira) film studio in Novosibirsk. The film describes the history and achievements of the plant as recounted by NLMK veterans. Distinguished plant personnel share their memories about their everyday work; how it was created and developed; comparing Soviet and modern production; describing how new technologies were mastered and what role the plant played and still plays in their lives.

The film premiered in July 2014 in Lipetsk during celebrations for the 80th anniversary of the Novolipetsk plant.

A total of 16 corporate films and videos were submitted to the Metal-Vision'2014 competition held as part of the annual industry Metal-Expo exhibition.

The Metal-Vision competition for best steelmaking video has been held since 2004 and is one of the main communications events of the Metal-Expo exhibition. The goal of the competition is to popularize and promote the steel industry, and to drive corporate culture and the efficiency of corporate communication.

In 2013, a film about NLMK Kaluga (part of NLMK Group Long Products Division) won the Best Graphics category at the annual Metal-Vision'2013 competition.

NLMK Group, Russia's leading manufacturer of high-value added steel products, is taking part in the 20th international Metal-Expo 2014 industrial exhibition that has opened in Moscow.

As part of Metal-Expo 2014, NLMK representatives participate in the discussion of high priority issues in the industry. On 10 November, Ilya Guschin, NLMK Group Vice President for Sales, made a presentation at the Russian Metal and Steel Market conference. On 12 November, Sergey Likharev, NLMK Group Vice President for Logistics will make a presentation at the 2nd All-Russian Steel Industry and Freight Forwarding conference.

On 13 November, as part of the annual exhibition, meetings will be held between the chief editors of corporate publications, marketing, PR, advertisement, and internal communications experts from steel companies and companies from adjacent industries. This year the round table will be held for the 12th time. It is an opportunity for the experts to exchange experience and discuss the latest trends in how to improve the efficiency of industry-related communications.
