OREANDA-NEWS. Ukrtelecom continues to expand internet services in small settlements and villages. In early November, the company provided unlimited internet access to 24 villages scattered across ten Ukrainian regions.

Schools, kindergartens, rural councils and hospitals traditionally became the first subscribers in these settlements as Ukrtelecom offers most of them attractive internet connection terms. An unlimited web access helps social facilities to improve their performance and streamline the decision making processes.

The company has provided local private farms in the villages of Nikolayev and Vinnitsa oblasts with access to internet connection. The web technologies will enable them to keep up with recent trends and use the best global agro-practices, which helps to boost the investment potential of business and create new jobs.

The best global practices show that a web access is key to developing the national economy. For example, Estonia, an EU leader in implementing innovations, has one million internet users, out of a population of 1.3 million people. All educational institutions in Estonia had an internet access already in the 1990s.

Ukrtelecom will continue to extend internet coverage in small settlements in line with its regional focus, which is one of the strategic aspects of web development. Thus, the company has provided internet connection to hundreds of rural social facilities and businesses and thousands of local residents since the start of the year.
