OREANDA-NEWS. Belarus' broad money supply reduced 0.9% month on month in October 2014 to 228.304 trillion Belarusian rubles (USD 21.22 billion) as of November 1, 2014, Belarus' monetary authorities said in a report.

Of the total money supply, cash in circulation (M0 aggregate) reduced 2.8% in October 2014 to 13.006 trillion rubles (USD 1.264 billion). The share of M0 in broad money supply reduced to 6% as of November 1, 2014 from 6.36% as of January 1, 2014.

M1 aggregate, which includes cash and current Belarusian ruble deposits with banks, reduced by 4.3% in October 2014 to 40.377 trillion rubles (USD 3.753bn) as of November 1, 2014. M1 aggregate accounted for 17.7% of the total money supply as of November 1, 2014, down from 19.19% as of January 1, 2014.

Ruble money supply (M2* aggregate), which includes M1 and fixed-period ruble securities outside bank circulation, was down 4.1% in October 2014 to 94.556 trillion rubles (USD 8.788 billion). Ruble money supply accounted for 41.4% of the broad money supply as of November 1, 2014, down from 41.7% as of January 1, 2014.

In 2013, broad money supply rose 19.8% to 193.307 trillion Belarusian rubles (USD 17.97bn). Ruble money supply increased 15.5% in 2013 to Br79.331 trillion (USD 7.373bn).
