As part of the 135th annual slot-conference of the International Air Transport Association (IATA) held in Prague (Czech Republic), representatives of Moscow Domodedovo Airport met both with its current and potential airline partners and discussed new areas of cooperation and development trends of the industry.

The event organized twice a year pursue the objective of developing approaches to regulation of international air traffic rules and their actualization. In particular, coordination of slots, intervals between arrival and departure of flights, was considered. Effective slot coordination allows to create the most convenient schedule in terms of distribution of transfer flows and use of airports and airlines' resources.

When making the seasonal flight timetable, Moscow Domodedovo Airport takes into account, above all, provision of high-quality services to its passengers. With this object in mind, the air hub, together with airline partners, is working on optimization of the timetable, among other things, on peaks and load leveling within a day. This makes it possible to provide passengers with the most comfortable conditions due to the optimal use of the airport infrastructure.

The IATA Conference brought together more than 1,000 representatives of airlines and airports from around the world in the Czech capital.

Regular participation of Moscow Domodedovo Airport in the IATA events is a result of constant expansion of route networks in the global airline market. Flights from the largest airport in terms of its passenger traffic are operated to 229 destinations, including 86 unique for the Moscow aviation hub.
